It's a Boy!

Congratulations to William and Kate on the birth of their baby boy....Here at Cologin we've welcomed many new arrivals over the years but so far (and long may this record stand) we have only ever had one birth on site and that was way back before we took over in the late 90s.

We don't charge for cots and high chairs and the farmhouse (which is the only property at Cologin that has an upstairs) features a stair gate so we consider ourselves pretty child friendly. Ducks to feed, a good playpark, space to kick a ball around and trees to climb all contribute to being family friendly. Kids are welcome in the pub and there's a children's menu or half portions off the blackboard.

Our own kids are now all grown up! When they eventually have their own children they will no doubt appreciate the immense freedom that they enjoyed as kids to build dens in the woods, ride their horses late into the night, camp in the fields and swim in the loch. I am sure it has contributed to making them the strong independent women that they have all become! Enough nostalgia for one day.
