SHARKS SPOTTED AT COLOGIN!

Customers have been sharing their photos of 'swimming with the sharks' over a pint at the pub! Locals Cameron and Struan Smith (owners and operators of Coastal Connection) have joined forces with Shane Wasik from 'Basking Shark Scotland' and the boy's Redbay RIBS have been taking divers and snorkelers out from Oban Bay to swim with basking sharks.

These gentle leviathans are no threat to humans but their immense size and huge bulk make for an unforgetable wildlife experience. The £150 per swimmer price tag we think is a bargain as that covers not only the actual swim but up to 8 hours at sea with experienced crew and fantastic views of the Argyll coastline which is dotted with castles, rich in marine wildlife and boasts superb scenery from every angle! Shane is a new wildlife operator in our area and to our knowledge it's the first time that anyone has offered an organised shark swim. Why fly half way around the world to South Africa or New Zealand where these wildlife tours originated - Scotland now boasts its very own shark swim experience - and it's one not to be missed!
