Bank Holiday August!

August has been relatively dry and sunny on Scotland's west coast but as usual this bank holiday Monday is wet and windy! Not ideal weather for all our diving visitors. Fine once you are under the water but a bit choppy reaching the dive sites. I think I would stick to shore based dives when the weather is bad - there are plenty of great diving spots around Oban. Just off Dunollie Castle is a favourite spot and you could always pop in for a cup to tea and cake to the new Dunollie House visitor centre.

Divers are well catered for at Cologin - our drying room has dehumidifyers and there's a cold water wash for boats and kit just next to the pub. We've also introduced 20 mins free wi-fi access in the pub for anyone staying on site or just enjoying a drink or a meal. Great for tide timetables, shipping forecasts, weather updates etc. The image below shows the location of some great cliff dives around Oban.
